Not a hotel. Not entirely a home.
A place to slow down, and to feel what usually goes unnoticed.

Maison d’Artiste is a restored house from 1898 in Ghent, shaped by an artistic eye and a quiet attention to detail.

Each room carries its own atmosphere — from deep tones to soft light, from presence to stillness. Natural materials, careful choices, and a sense of restraint define the space.

What is offered here is simple: a place to arrive and to remain a little longer than expected.

BEYOND THE ROOMS

Maison d’Artiste is a house shaped over time. Built in 1898, it carries traces of another rhythm — higher ceilings, slower proportions, a sense of permanence. Its transformation did not aim to erase this past, but to work with it. Materials were chosen for how they age. Spaces were opened where light could move. Details were left where they still speak. The house is lived in. Observed. Adjusted. There is an artistic presence — not always visible, but always guiding. What you experience here is not a concept. It is a way of paying attention.
